Support Artisans
Over the years you have followed our work with artisans in Oaxaca and during our expansion across Mexico. We hope that now you might help us support them during the COVID pandemic.
Like many of us, they face the dual threats to their health and to their livelihoods, which is nearly wholly dependent on tourism. Your support will help us create an emergency fund to ensure that artisans have access to health care if needed as well as 0% interest loans for materials and other necessities. We will also use the funds to provide artisans with hand-made face masks (another source of revenue for some artisans) to provide protection for all.
Oaxifornia will match your cash donation with funds, materials and/or our team effort during this difficult time. Our office continues to work remotely to assess the status and needs of each member of all artisans we work with.
Your support will help mitigate these difficult times and the uncertainty of the future, also allowing artisans to keep working at home rather than going out to the streets to sell. Now more than ever we need the beauty and the moments of grace their work provides us.
